Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 12, 2007 12 oz bottle from LooseCannon. Clear gold with a white head. Pine and orange nose. Flavor is light, sweet malt and grapefruit rind. Pretty tasty, simple APA. Lightly bitter grapefruit and pine finish. LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Jul 10, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours cloudy golden color with white head. Aroma and taste of malt and with bitter and dry after taste. ChainGangGuy (2523), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jun 7, 2007 Let’s talk beer for a second.
Appearance: Pours a golden-orange color and capped by a foamy, white head.
Smell: The aroma is a bit meek, but there’s some pale malts, orange blossoms, and a remote scent of wheat.
Taste: Flavors tip-toe lightly around the tongue. Gently hopped. Mildly malted. With a mellow, though long-lasting, dry, orange juice-like finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Crisp and smooth, with just the right amount of soft carbonation.
Drinkability: The is the beer equivalent of a sweet, tiny dove. Unique, and definitely drinkable, but the flavors go from being light to nearly transparent at times. Alldaydrinker (557), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Mar 29, 2007 Poured into a lager glass. Poured a gold amber colour. The aroma was moderate with a very hint of peach. Overall not bad, enjoyable. emerica56 (575), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Mar 29, 2007 Thos beer was poured into a stein with a moderate head and a decent aroma to it. There was a peach and malt taste to it and it is alright. not one of the best pale ales that i have had but alright. 2beerguys (299), North Shore, Massachusetts, USA Feb 14, 2007 This pale pours a medium amber color with a small, off-white head. Virtually no lacing. Aroma is of moderate strength cookie malts. Initial taste is light bitter, switching to a light sweet finish with a long duration. Light to medium on the palate, it is both watery and oily with lively carbonation.
Reviewed on September 28th, 2006. ruggedman (613), Portland, Maine, USA Jan 13, 2007 The best example of American pales is Sierra Nevada I couldn’t agree more with the statement in the description. Unfortunately this beer doens’t hold a candle to that beer. It’s light, maybe a little lighter than I would define an APA. It lacks the hop profile i would like from an APA. There’s some off flavors in this beer that the brewer should really take a look ato. Grandpa (325), Verona, New York, USA Jan 11, 2007 It poured a hazy gold with a tight-bubbled white head. The head held up well and left some sip lines. It seemed too hoppy and a little darkfor an American Ale. The hop/malt balance was off. It was more heavy bodied than I expected. My concept of an American ale is different from their "commercial description." It had a pleasant finish. It lays on the tongue nicely
