Pretty unremarkable ... not much malt, a little sweetness, pronounced bitterness, but not at the levels of an IPA. American hops, with pine and strong citrus flavor. I guess I second Ungstrup ... not much intensity, but no obvious flaws. asheft (1410), Marburg, Germany

Clear copper with a good, foamy cover. Pine, citrus, and caramel aroma (pretty standard pale ale aroma). Plenty of pine hops and biitterness dominate the flavour in a nice floral bouquet. Unfortunately, there is an obvious lack of malt character (preferably caramel/toffee) and a significant diacetyl contribution. Medium to light body with significant carbonation. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2005 A slightly hazy orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and OK hoppy. The flavor is sweet malty with light hoppy notes as well as light citrus notes, and a lightly bitter end, and with a thin body. Not enough of most everything - yet nothing wrong. jimhilt (1681), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 31, 2005 Pours a white, thick two-finger head that goes slowly leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Nose is somewhat hoppy. Starts very mild, mix of malts and hops, finish is on the hoppy side but a very subdued pale. $1.35 for a 12oz bottle from RSVP Liquors Portland, Me. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 6, 2005 Pours a slightly hazy rich copper with a huge and dense creamy looking khaki head. Good lacing. Smells of hops and pale malt. Lightly bready.
Creamy tasting beer. Lightly bitter. Lightly sweet pale malt. Very British pale ale in style, kind of like Bass before it all went wrong. Mouth is really creamy and smooth. A long low-level hoppines lingers forever. This is a great session brew for sure. Well done.

Sweet with some paper and syrup as well as caramel. Extremely simplistic malt character creating a very hard mouthfeel. Completely lacks ambition.
