lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA Aug 6, 2005 Pours a slightly hazy rich copper with a huge and dense creamy looking khaki head. Good lacing. Smells of hops and pale malt. Lightly bready.
Creamy tasting beer. Lightly bitter. Lightly sweet pale malt. Very British pale ale in style, kind of like Bass before it all went wrong. Mouth is really creamy and smooth. A long low-level hoppines lingers forever. This is a great session brew for sure. Well done.

Volgon (2458), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Sep 8, 2006 Bottle: Clear orange with a thin white head, flowery piney notes in the aroma, medium bodied with mild carbonation, starts and ends lightly bitter. A good solid American pale ale. ClarkVV (3545), Allston, Massachusetts, USA Apr 2, 2005 2005 bottle at Julios Spring Beer Fest, 4/02/05. Talking with the head brewer while sampling. Dark caramel-amber color, small amount of white head, well-retained. Slight glassiness to the body. Low lacing. Aroma of floral hops, sweet, sugary pils malt, caramel malt, a touch of toasted malt and just a well-rounded sweet, creamy body. Fairly simple, not much fruitiness, but the low hops are enjoyable. Substantial, medium body, low carbonation and a moderately sweet finish, with a touch of minty/herbal bitterness.
