Commercial Description:
Our flagship, this Irish-Style Red Ale proudly won a gold medal at the 2000 World Beer Cup. A combination of 5 different malts and 3 hop varietals, carefully blended, results in a perfect balance. Full-flavored and medium-bodied, the Riptide Red provides surprising complexity for such an easy-drinking brew.

Pours out a red color with a decent sized head. Nice malty/sweet aroma that carries over into the taste. Basically a upgraded, non mass produced Killians

Malty and lightly hopped. Easy beer with nothing particular wrong with it, but not a whole lot to recommend it either.Rather wishing it would take more of a stance as even though it’s not bad it’s not one that I would choose as a session beer either.

Cranberry juice color with a minimal, white, bubbly head. Aroma is pleasant: deep; dark fruits and malt. Flavor is fairly unpleasant, though: Salty, a little dark fruit, and a harsh hop finish. Slightly sticky. Bland and uninspired.

Tap at GIBF. Sweet, slightly malty aroma with some small caramel hints. Amber colored, clear yellowish head. Small hop kick to start--finishes thin with a small amount of maltiness. Supposedly, this won a medal at the GABF. Dont know what the judges were smokin...

This was smooth & red. Malty, no discernible hops. Had a nice body and was easy to drink. Medium to high carbonation

This looked a lot better than it delivered. Good reddish color, nice mildly hopped aroma. But the flavor... not "complex" as advertised, but fairly bland.

Bottle, dark copper orange with an almost-doesn’t-exist head. Some light malts in the nose, lightly bitter to lightly sweet. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, and ends a bit boring.
