| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Bottle, from mug. Dated 03-30-07. Body is crystal clear, but a deep red-mahogany color. Head is pale yellow and diminishing, with the texture of a root beer head; decent lacing. The roasted aroma is complimented some interesting off-notes...almonds, and a touch of leather. Light-to-medium body, thinnish texture, average carbonation. Flavor shows a distinct bitterness; unfortunately it has a metallic quality, and the malts are not exciting enough to save it. Finishes metallic, then sweet.
