| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 2, 2006 This Irish red pours a light amber/brown color with a fizzy, light-brown head. Good lacing behind a mostly diminishing head, with a flat, clear body. Aroma is of light roasted malts, and a light, doughy yeast scent. Initial taste is moderately bitter, mellowing to a light bitter finish, with an average duration on the mouth. Light on the palate, consistency is watery with soft carbonation. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Tried this as a local tap sampler at a bar in Freeport, and this was definitely the best of the three by far. Very red body with thin tan head. Smells sweet with hints of hops. Tastes sweet with some hop influence. Relatively well-balanced with slightly less emphasis on the hops. Medium Bodied. Very good beer, will probably et it again. Hawksfan17 (718), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2006 This was a fine brew that I enjoyed with lunch. The amber/brown pour was topped off with a white head. It smelled of nuts and hops. The flavor was much the same. It presented a nice mix of bitterness and malty body.
