omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 20, 2005 Bottled. Dark red. Roasty. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Lacking in flavour and body, there’s some roasty cereals but not much else. Papsoe (10510), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 29, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) On the label credited to Shipyard Brewing Company. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish and slightly nutty aroma. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt, nuts and burned caramel. Also a slight touch of sweet licorice. Very subdued bitterness. An easy drink. 210908 hopscotch (4591), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Nov 6, 2002 This beer rocks.
The commercial description and descriptions of other members will have to suffice as I took no notes while enjoying this brew at the Brickskeller in D.C. However, if you enjoy other Irish Ales that I have rated highly. You will not be disappointed with this one. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jun 20, 2002 Bottled. Dark brownish-red body, luscious creamy lasting head. Nose is great, strongly hoppy and grapefruity but with some maltiness to keep from overwhelming you. Decent flavor, with hints of chocolate and citrus, but not that strong or distinctive. Slightly thinnish on the back end, with ok hop presence to finish. Started out so well... but still a good effort. Maria (4418), Thisted, Denmark Dec 11, 2007 Red-golden with a nice, creamy head. The aroma is slightly fruity with caramel, actually more like fruit-caramels. The flavour has the same fruit-caramels, notes of citrus/tangerine, malt and a long finish. The balance between malt and hops is quite charming. 2420
