jason (1511), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. Diactyl bomb! The diactyl is so strong in the aroma it was really tough to choke it down. Flavor is malty with diactyl again being dominant.
TheGent (59), , Massachusetts, USA Oct 31, 2008 Just sort of bought a 6 pack of this for the good price and cause i hadn’t tried it before with no big expectation. Wow what a surprise. This is a well balanced beer with a roasted caramel and sweetness but than teased by some hops int he finish for a great light bitterness. Going to have to explore this brewery more. Beardface (259), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 26, 2008 On tap at some fancy lobster place outside of Bar Harbor on my summer 2007 trip to Maine. Maybe it was all the wonderful food I ate while on this trip, but none of the beer really stuck out in my mind. This was one of the better ones though. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 29, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) On the label credited to Shipyard Brewing Company. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish and slightly nutty aroma. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt, nuts and burned caramel. Also a slight touch of sweet licorice. Very subdued bitterness. An easy drink. 210908 KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 22, 2008 Clear dark reddish amber with meidum beige head. Sweet aroma with toasted malt, caramel and hoppe notes.
