Dark amber color......thick head, though it fades a little quicker than expected. Slightly malty aroma. Somewhat bittersweet taste in the front......very crisp mouthfeel. Extremely bitter taste in the back, with a very dry finish.

Jul 5, 2008 Slight caramel aroma, not much else. Deep copper color with little carbonation and tan head. Enjoyable balanced taste at first, then a weird chalky taste, then finishes nicely bitter. Not a whole lot memorable that’s good.

Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. Diactyl bomb! The diactyl is so strong in the aroma it was really tough to choke it down. Flavor is malty with diactyl again being dominant.

Jun 6, 2008 Decent beer. Pours a nice red color with a think tan head. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy, but the core malt is very present as well. Flavor is a bit bitter, a bit musty, and very malty. Went fine with a steak I was eating, but suffered a little on its own.
