JuStuka (162), Edo De Mex, Mexico Sep 1, 2008 Reddish brown colour, the aroma was slightly caramel malty, with some figs, cherry, and port wine notes Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 29, 2008 Boxed bottle from John’s Market Place in Portland, OR--Dried small cork that just sort of fell out after metal caging broke. Precursor to review...Beer aged too much perhaps. Little carbonation. Murky amber-brown body with a dull clear bubbled head. Funky apple juice and cardboard nose. Slightly peppery and very sweet. Strange chemical funk with over maturation evident. I could tell this beer might have had something to it once, but not any more. Too bad. Rciesla (1136), Brick City, New Jersey, USA May 19, 2008 8 year old in the fancy box to your right. Thanks BrianK for sharing this one. Pours red brown. Aroma/taste is sweet dark fruit cherries and peaches. Mildly tart with a wet paper finish. THis is 8 years old some sweet malt and a tad sour. Arayaga2 (777), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 29, 2008 Hazy brown with no head. Aroma is cider and spice. Taste is same, with a light tart edge and good residual sweetness. Very light carbonation. Relatively unexciting, but not bad.
