It seems saison and this style have really won me over when I dont want an in-your-face apa or such. Great aroma typical of a farmhouse ale, with the malt taking a front seat to the yeastyness. Overall, it has this flavor similar to Unibroue Edition 2004 to me for some reason, mixed with Saison Dupont. Very much enjoyed and highly recommended! elektrogeist (158), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 22, 2005 This would be one of my absolute all time favorite beers.. if not just for the aroma of it when properly aged. Nothing else smells quite like it, best I can say is like a flowery cork. This stuff drinks VERY easy and tastes delicious on a hot day. And I don’t know what they put in it, but it feels like its a hell of a lot stronger than 6.4% alcohol. Quality brew can be deceiving like that. Anyway, if you have the good fortune to come across this brew-by all means try it. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2005 Sugared pears and a bit of malt sweetness. Poured a cloudy honey color. Very sweet flavor of pear. Almost no carbonation. Little bit of apple pie in the finish. Could use a bit more hop balance I think to balance a high level of sweetness, but not too bad all in all. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2005 Light, bright gold colored body. A huge white head tops the brew. The aroma has pears a light cinnamon hint. There is also a little bit of grass. The taste has some very light caramel and peanuts. There is also some light character of herbs. A nice beer to go with a meal. MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2005 I found this bottle at Chucks in Chagrin Falls, it had a nice layer of dust on it. I suspect this bottle has been there 3 to 4 years. The labeling on the back reads 03-96. Which are the only numbers that could be dates. The pour had no head, rich cider brown color. Aroma is a nice smell of a barn after an apple harvest. A slight bit of vinegar, but ovrerall sweet. Flavor is thinned out, aging I suspect, but very smooth and soft sugar taste. This is very drinkable for its suspected age. Unofrtunately the malt character is fading considerably, leaving more of a cider flavor behind badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 11, 2005 Dark yellow color with a medium head. Aroma of oranges and dust. Tasted like a slightly spiced vegetable smoothy with an ample supply of hay thrown in. Not necessarily terrible, but not my cup o’ tea. Odeed (1675), Bakersfield, California, USA
