Commercial Description:

Amber-orange body with a decent, off-white head in my 100ml glass at EBF 08. Sweet, dried fruits to the nose. Taste of stewed fruits on a sweet malty background. Soft texture and quite mouth filling carbonation (Copenhagen, 14.09.2008).

Bottle, Academie de la Biere, Strasbourg. Dark amber colour with a small, off white head. Malty, caramel aroma. Thinnish palate, lively carbonation. Some spiciness in the flavour which mixed with some red fruit just about works. Slightly bitter finish. Ok-ish

(75cl bottle) Slightly hazy, amber colour with medium-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet, slightly toasted dark malty aroma with caramel and a distinctive touch of alcohol, backed by a light herbal hoppy note. Sweet and a bit sugary flavour, quite light bodied mouthfeel; soft on carbon. Dark malty, slightly toasted taste with caramel and a touch of liquorice; fairly slim, toast-malty, sweet and faint bitter finish (19.07.07).

Århus2008. 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden copper coloured. Vague malt aroma. Flavour is sweet and towards breadish with a minor metallic note. Light bitterness into the finish. Medium dry and slight bitter finish. Well brewed, just not interesting.
