Commercial Description:

Weak malty aroma with some hops, but kind of skunky, beany. Dark copper brown clear - almost fake looking, with off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts a bit sweet with little acidity and no bitterness. Malt taste, light hops, but also a salty taste towards the finish. Notes of caramel in the aftertaste, very little bitterness and a bit of nutty sweetness. Mediocre.

Toasty brown malt and bread in the aroma. Dark amber-brown with small tan head that recedes to thick ring and cover. Lightly toasty flavours with a hint of alcohol in the finish. Thin body. High carbonation. Bottle (sampled at Mondial 2004).

Red amber body with a thin beige head. Malt fruit and spice in the aroma with a bit of the same in the flavour. Thins bodied and surprisingly bland. Mondial 4T (Capflu).

750 ml bottle from Safeway, Shirley, West Mids. Reddish amber colour - no head but some small greasespots of stuff. Blimey! Very sweet, verging on sickly. Toffee flavours, with some rooty vegetables and treacle. This catches on the back of my throat somewhat - too sweet for me, it needs some balance.

Dark amber with a shortlived head. Honey aroma, with some hay and alcohol. Quite bitter flavour with a long finish.

Brown color with a off white head. The taste is malty caramel but kind of watery and boring.
