omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 20, 2007 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Hazy pale yellow, rich head. Fairly sweet and light bodied with spritzy mouthfeel. Some freshening light citrus, but the flavour is well light, resulting in an almost thn mouthfeel and a light metallic touch. Still it works as a very light refreshing summer quencher, sort of Hogaarden light. Oakes (6823), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2004 Opaque yellow. Fruity (peach, blueberry) aroma. Pineapple and a hint of pale malt in the palate. Then it gets bland and crisp. duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jan 18, 2005 750ml corked bottle. I am going along with rauchbiers advice here, as i also had the Tesco Finest French Wheat. It wasn’t bad. Quite tangy, with a bit of citrus and some sour grain. Slight vanilla and clovey spicyness, but they aren;t as easy to detect as other beers of the same style. The mouthfeel was a little thin for my liking, but it was still quite refreshing. harrisoni (5109), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 3, 2006 75cl bottle from Auchan, Calais. Cloudy, pale gold/green colour with lasting white head. Wheat, lemon and soapy hop aroma. The soapiness is just a bit too dominant. It has all the makings of a good blanche, but just fails. muzzlehatch (4425), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jul 31, 2005 750 ml bottle, no discernible date but bought in Dec 2004. Big frothy head diminishes fairly quickly to a moderate full cover, atop a pale hazy yellow-gold body....fruity, lightly buttery nose, touch yeasty & sour...dryish, lightly sour and lemony body, fairly crisp with a touch of honey towards the finish, medium body at first turns quite watery, drinkable but pretty dull and uninspired.
