Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 8, 2009 One of those surprising finds, this one at the Gatineau Select SAQ. Pours light blond with big thick white head, less so in others’ cups. A mild spiciness, lighter easy drinking mouthfeel. In fact, I found this reasonable hoppy bitterness, with some sugar and malt, and something akin to an American take on a Belgian blond. DeanF (285), Paris, France Sep 18, 2009 Has a syrupy, wheaty aroma. Very nice pour with a good golden colour and plenty of head. Nice lemony flavour, some malts, semi-sweet finish. petermadsen (391), Vesterbronxxx, Denmark Aug 21, 2009 canned.
Palate is thin and the flavour sweet and artificial with a strange end. Not really my cup of tea... ladnewton (200), London, Greater London, England Jun 26, 2009 Bottle at L’ Academie de la Biere, Paris on 22nd November 2008. Poured almost clear, straw coloured with foamy white head. Quite herby and aromatic to start, quite gaseous of texture with a dry finish. Diogène (543), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jun 15, 2009 Bottle. Clear yellow with a medium frothy head. Average retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, alcohol, corn, spices, metal and herbal hops. Flavor is sweet malt, corn, herbal hops, spices and honey. Body i thin to medium. RedhawkFIN (20), Finland Jun 15, 2009 500ml can. Pretty average Bierre De Garde that I forgot as soon as I finished it. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Apr 25, 2009 Can. Dark gold color with a passing white head. Light citric aroma. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Fruity, hoppy and reasonably dry. BC would likely be better. Fred82 (344), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Mar 25, 2009 750ml bottle, From notes, poured clear yellow, small head. Quite simple overall. Not much to talk about. Rating #75
