Big bottle. Clear dark golden colour with a rather short bubbly head. Aroma of yeast and some sweet maltiness, bit fruity. Cookie-like maltiness, fruity and sweetish in the flavour, though mild, yeasty, wheaty with a bit of herbs. Dry aftertaste.

Pours a lightly hazed golden amber with a quarter inch of pure white sudsy foam. Decent head retention, very nice webby lacing, with a steady stream of carbonation. Mild aroma lightly sweet and fruity. Mellow tasty flavor - tangy and lightly sweet wheat malt, a light sweet apricot, herbal hops. It is drier in the finish, with the wheat and the herbal hop character standing out. Not quite medium body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Plentiful carbonation - ever so slightly fizzy

Fresh from the can: Golden coloured, small, quite firm white head; faint sweetish-fruity-grainy nose; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, a bit sticky MF; finish like an average Kölsch....

750ml bottle. That oddly waxy aroma exuded by certain Greek tinned lagers. Silky smooth maltiness, with some gently smoky graininess in the finish. Bitter afters, but pretty dull without the spice. Not much of a fan of the style, and that nose is really putting me off. Re-rate 24/01/08. Smells like a n/a beer. Wholemeal, beans, burning rubber. Surprisingly pale and misty. Paper, grain, 1 part malt malt whiskey to 10 parts water. Honey. Pale malt aftertaste. Still not impressed.

The body is a clear yellow/gold/straw capped with a foamy white head. The aroma begins on a bitter note, grasses and dandelions, and a soft cherry scent emerges followed by a bready malt. The flavor’s an interesting blend of sweet, sour, and bitter. It starts fruity when a soured malt enters the picture followed closely by that grassy bitterness. It closes on a sweet note, then leaves a dry, bitter feeling on the tongue. Not too shabby.

Bottle. Clear yellow color with a fluffy big head. Very hoppy, grassy aroma I thought, with some malt mixed in there and some spicy notes as well. Some cellar like notes in nose and mouth. The dominant hoppy notes gave it a dry mouth feel. Some fruit notes and spicy is present in mouth. Light bodied, with a slightly balanced bitter-sweet finish.

(Bottle at La Gueuze, Paris, 15 Oct) Clear yellow colour with huge, firm, white head. Malty nose with fresh cereal aromas and grassy notes. Malty, clean and fresh taste with notes of tropical fruit, pineapple and grassy hops in the fairly dry finish. Refreshing and enjoyable.
