Commercial Description:

(on bottle)What is it with a beer so weak? Biere de garde is weak bber for this brewhouse? Hm, nothing, but a nice deep brown color here. And we really tried, a whole bottle and we diden´t find any body.

(Bottled) Clear, dark reddish color with a very small head. Sweetish, sugary-malty aroma. Sweet, syrupy, slightly nutty flavor. Medium-bodied, very light palate (especially considering the color and style). Low carbonation. Another one in the Ch’ti series with exactly the same basic aroma and flavor. Still no yeast and nowhere near the Belgian counterparts.

brown ale, off-white tall, lasting head. Good carbonation. Sweet aroma, a bit yeasty. Very malty sweet flavour. Roasted malts. Muscovado sugar. Perfumy notes (typical french ...) A hint of dryness and hops in the finish. Somewhat dry palate. Overall easy drinking brune.

Intens dark brown beer with beige colored head. It has sweet and burnd aroma’s with hints of chocolat, expresso and old colheita port. The taste is rather thin, again with touch of coffee and roasted malts, it ends with a light sweet and dry burnd bitterness.

Toasty malt aroma. Dark borwn, almost opaque with very shy off-white head that recedes to thin cover. Sweet lightly malty, nutty. Thin body. Ultimately forgettable. Bottle (sampled at Mondial 2004).

Poured with a massive head, which disappeared straight away.Very little carbonation, murky brown colour and medium body.It looked liked i was drinking muddy water.BUT i did actually enjoy this beer. There was a nice nutty toffeeish flavour and a sweet aftertaste. It went down well with me.

Dark brown colour with beige foamy head. Aroma and flavor was not that clear because of a too low serving temperature. Thanks too my mother anyway, she is trying her best.
