| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 7, 2007 65 cL bottle. Pours black with a huge brown head. Sweet molasses aroma, a slight bit of spice too. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Flavour is breadish at first, it then goes sweet and reveals a sweet molasses flavour. Dark malty and dry notes of raisins and plum. Underneath is soft spice flavour and a very minor yeasty note, but both appear more mellow than in a classic belgian brune. Quite nice. Quite full-bodied with rich, hard roasted and sweet malts. Accents of burned caramel and licorice and a wee hint of metal. No real bitterness. Lovely and very christmasy. 261206 Stefano (1340), Esbjerg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2004 A red-brown beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is very sweet and very spicy with cinnamon being most dominant, but the aroma also contains notes of berries and is slightly acidic. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of berries, but also spices again with cinnamon standing out and again with hints of acidity. Even though it holds 7.5% ABV the mouthfeel is thin.
