The fruitiest aroma of the beers in my wooden carrefour Ch’ti selection crate. Suggestions of apple and pear, but it’s mostly grain. Mouth smooth and slightly whiskeyish, with chewy grain, cardboard, antiseptic smoky malt, pale biscuit and aspirin. Increasingly irritating in it’s whiskey-dipped paperiness. Watery, stale, alcoholic and not to this rater’s taste. Coors Light with a wee dram tipped in it. Feinschmecker (190), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Bottle. Musty and yeasty aroma complete with apples and pears. Sparkling gold color. Very drinkable Trippel. I am fond of their beers so maybe that is just me. The alcohol is concealed in the at first yeast dominated flavor, that becomes fruity and somewhat dry afterwards.
