Clean crisp yeasty flavour with a slightly sweet body. Not overly complex, in fact a little thin. Not the finest offering from this brewer. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2006 [Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm] Pale golden, fairly lively. Almondy yeast aroma dominates the nose. Medium sweet withclean but firm mouthfeel and medium body. Vague estery notes of raspberries, but although pretty good, as a whole it’s like a Bière de Garde light, less extrovert and with less appealing malt character than the top examples of the style. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 29, 2006 From a 750 ml. brown bottle with what I am guessing is a bottling date since I know this was a new bottle, given to me by a liquor store manager/friend who wanted my opinion on a Belgian he just added. Sampled at a cellar temperature in a chalice.
Poured a cloudy golden hued orange with a foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing, the most minimal amount of sticking, pretty standard appearance.
Aromas of sulfur, grapes and apples, light sugar spices and whiffs of a fusel alcohol.
Light, fizzy carbonation and a softly crisp, too soft for me, smooth light-medium bodied mouthfeel.
For a tripel, I thought this was bland tasting overall, sulfur and bready, sugary pale malts, sour apple and green melon fruity, a very soft spicy hoppiness, the fusel alcohol flavor starts to show up just past the middle, and a dry yeasty and sweet malty finish, pretty much average drinkability for the tripel, nothing real stands out flavor wise from this ale.
This tripel sells for $10.99 at bottle in my area, so I’m glad this was a freebie.

A flavor of malt and a bready yeast not much of what I think is a triple. Not a bad tasting beer but not a triple. Dorqui (1361), Brescia, Italy
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 8, 2006 Yellow pale color, rather extinguished and with a light fizz. Light and dense head, discreet duration. Light scent, light aged with aromas of wine cellar, clear mildew and yeast. Simple, winy and lightly little pungent taste. Short and fading end.
