Appearance: clear, bright golden hue, with big carbonation, and a small, chalk-white head.
Aroma: a little citrusy, sour, otherwise fairly vacant.
Taste is a blend of sourness, citric fruit and more, with bits of sweetness coming through for balance. Hops are around, but not abundant, and malt is also in attendance, but lays back. Texture is good and tangy, tasty, well-received. Body, light. Flavor good, finish nice and sweet.
Overall, a fine enough ale made for everyday drinking, a table beer, perfect for simple meals, picnics, hanging around, a nice drink for the sake of drinking.
An excellent example of a Belgio-/Franco- "session ale." So I like it.

Then everything seems to fall apart, flavour is lightly citrus, bitter, earthy (in a bad way, like licking dirt). Just not on par with the other good beers that castelain produces. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 22, 2004 Ya know, this thing smells just plain awesome. Banannas and esters with just a hint of yeast in the nose. However the taste does not live up to this, the body is thin and that with just the organic and flat taste is hard to get down. Clear with no head. intersting but not nearly as good as Id have likeed it to be. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 20, 2004 This beer almost scarred me for life when the cork launched itself skyward passed my face after I merely unscrewed the wire cap. Abundant, torrential carbonation and a massive, pendulous, frothy white head. Golden-yellow body. Aroma of pineapple, yeast, buttery malt, and light phenols. Delicate flavor of lemon, butter, and honey with some mild bitterness. Pairs well with seafood. Braudog (3766), Dayton, Ohio, USA

The aroma is floral hops. The flavor is subtle, very light, very slightly yeasty and spiced with a very spritzy palate. Overall, this must be Jade Lite.
