| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 6, 2004 Bottle@Spiesys. Soft and easy going. Brady/doughy maltyness. Sweetish, slightly dusty texture, some rubber, not bad, was hoping for more with this Biere de Garde. chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 6, 2004 Beer #30 at Spiesy’s. Hazy gold colour. Yeasty aroma with a hint of apple. A little spicy and very soft. OK, but uninspiring. I’m afraid my taste buds were too blown away by this stage to pick up much more. Bottled.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Mar 17, 2002 Head is initially large, frothy, white, good lacing, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow, dense particles ranging from tiny to medium in size, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly hoppy (grass), lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of apple, cask wood, and white wine. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. It’s got that telltale French beer odor, which I’ve never been that fond of, and a somewhat dull sweet/sour flavor that just doesn’t appeal to me either. SilkTork (4173), Rochester, Kent, England

Some grassy pilsner notes in flavour with malty back up. Decent pilsnerish ale. Nothing special. BeerandBlues2 (3223), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Pours cloudy yellow with ornage hints and a huge frothy white head; lined, spotty lacing. Fragrant oak perfumey fruit hop aroma with a musty yeast nose. Spicy yeast and oak fruity hop flavor with a malty finish and some vanilla notes. Very lively carbonation with a light bodied spicy palate. Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 5, 2004 Bottled. Foggy blonde pilsner. Grassy, farmyard, rustic aromas that put spin on what you might consider a normal for a pilsner. Yeasty, zesty flavour, with astringent feel that lingers on the palate. [London gathering: Spiesy, Duff, chris_o, Marty-D and SilkTork]
