Apr 6, 2008 33 cL bottle, comes as Castello birra friulana premium, 5%. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma is dry cornish. Flavour is medium cornish, light malty and cornish spiced finish with a light sweetness and a dry bitterness intermixed.

Jul 24, 2006 Canned. Golden colour, small white head. Barnyard in aroma, along with hops. Flavour is diacetylic, paprery and skunked hops. Unpleasantly sweet. Mouthdrying, yet the palate is watery.

May 20, 2003 Pale body, slightly grassy aroma. Light bready malts, grassy hop. Slightly more bitter than a typical Italian lager but that's no big thrill (wow, 20 IBUs!). Off-dry finish. All that crap about this kind of beer being good on a hot day is just that - crap. I sampled this sitting in the hot sun at the cottage, on the beach overlooking Georgian Bay and it still did nothing for me.

Aug 6, 2002 Simple aroma, within a mass lager aroma, unmalted wheat and hay. Dry, easy drinkable, decent body strength, strong bitterness. The palate is a just too bitter. Not bad for a cheap drink.
