Green bottle, pours a clear light gold with a white head that diminishes to a thick ring, aromas of faint grass, malt with malt bread and sugar sweetness, there were hints of sweetness I find in some European lagers, flavor of malt with some faint lemon citrus bitterness, more bitterness than I would expect in a pale lager, mouth feel is less than medium, I enjoyed this beer.

330ml bottle.Pours well into the glass , sparkling amber in colour witha loosley packed unstable head of white foam. Skunky aroma and strongly hopped. Thin and watery in the mouth with a bitterness that sits on the tongue. Not one of Italy’s finest.

Pale yellow, sweetish, thin bodied, watery, boring. Just not a good beer. 330ml green bottle.

Thanks to SkyCop32 for bringing this one back from Northern Italy. Pours a nice light golden yellow. Aromas of hops, grass, and maybe malt. Taste is crisp with a nice mellow hop flavor.

There were strikes against this beer before the first sip: it’s an Italian pale lager, the bottle is green and maize is listed as an ingredient. And it doesn’t get much better from there. Pale gold with a skimpy ring of suds. The grainy aroma is rich with corn and bready malts. Stale oxidised cardboard taint. Thin bodied. Sweet pale malts dominate on the tongue. Faint residual bitterness. Cheap and nasty. No real finish to speak of. A dull summer cleanser. (330ml bottle branded "Birra Friulana Castello Premium" and imported into Australia. 5% abv. BB 1/2/09)

33 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a crispy white head. Slight grainy aroma with a mild maltbase beneath. Flavour is grainy, somewhat malty with a vague bitterness towards the finish. Bad.
