Half pint pulled at GBBF, a reddish copper colour with a filmy white head. Aroma is a little vinous, but a lovely fruit and spice combination dominates. There is a strong bitterness all the way through the mouth, a roasted malt flavour with sour fruits, followed by a tart finish,

I was on my way out of the Turf Tavern, and noticed this tap. Whats this?-I asked. Try it.-they said. I did. And a pleasant surprise it was. Used copper penny with a nice sticky cap of just off white head. Clean soapy fresh aroma, a bit of lemon zest and spice. Brisk toothy bitterness, sweet, a little herbal, lively fruit. Orange peel finish. Soft palate. A surprisingly hop-forward ale, and I thought, one worth seeking out again.
