Sep 28, 2007 on tap-pours a foamy tan head and slightly hazy dark red/mahogany color. Aroma is mild funky, medium malt. Taste is smoky/roasty, nutty, medium malt, secondary hops. A bit thin.

Poured a hazy brown color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting and excellent lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Solid drinkable brew.

Jun 19, 2006 Asheveille, NC - Barley’s Taproom & Pizzaria - on tap. Has an off-white head and a dark copper appearance. Presents a bit of a candy-like sweet aroma. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Flavor has some good malty notes with a hint of caramel - nothing really jumps out about it though - a smooth drinking ale - would be good for session purposes.
