Draft sample at Knoxville Brewers Jam 2009. Poured a hazy brown color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting and excellent lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew.

Asheveille, NC - Barley’s Taproom & Pizzaria - on tap. Has an off-white head and a dark copper appearance. Presents a bit of a candy-like sweet aroma. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Flavor has some good malty notes with a hint of caramel - nothing really jumps out about it though - a smooth drinking ale - would be good for session purposes.

Draught at Barley’s in Asheville, NC. Dark brown with thin tan head that laced the glass. Pleasant malty cocoa aroma. Slightly sweet with milk chocolate and roasted nuts. Uncommonly good brown ale.
