Oct 21, 2007 Draft sample at Knoxville Brew Jam. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bitter finish of short duration. Flavorful pale ale.

Sep 25, 2006 Reddish copper, with no head. Bready, sweetish aroma - nice, if fairly non-descript. Clean and crisp, with a nice spicy, gingerbread note. Subtle, crisp citrusy hop bite at the end. On tap at Barley’s, Asheville.

Dec 28, 2006 Cereal, red malt aroma. Very bright, clear, red. Tangy, astringent, some vinegar, some unidentifiable vegetable - some kind of pepper - almost chipotle without the burn. Medium light sweetness. Good with the pizza at the Mellow Mushroom - on tap, Asheville.

Oct 13, 2008 KBjam. Nice rich amber pour with white head and lace. Aroma of medium roasted malt and light hops. Flavor of semi sweet malt and a complimentary pleasant bitter finish. A pretty easy drinking amber.

Oct 27, 2006 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam 2006. Pours copper with a beige head. The aroma is biscuit and bread with some raisin. The flavor has a nice American hop quality to it, backed by some toast and charcoal. The finish is slightly smoky. Generic, but tasty.
