Sweet malty at first yet with a really solid chili spiced bite towards into the finish. Almost burning spiced. Quite a bit to much. MrBunn (1535), Western, Pennsylvania, USA

I have to say that I am pretty excited for the experience that awaits. The major anxiety of the pour - clear glass ruins a lot of suspense - was whether the chili would fall out of the bottle. It did. Suspense over, boring looking pale yellow with a little bit of a fizzy head. After a while, the pepper collects enough carbonation float around... that is pretty exciting, too. Aromas are mostly chili pepper. I am not sure if there is any flavor other than chili... no... on second sip, there is a bit of a lager blah-ness up front an then the fire starts. I am not sure if this qualifies as beer, though. They could get the same effect putting a chili pepper in anything else. Still, I do like some heat, so this is kind of nice. This is weird stuff. Nice novelty I suppose with the ’whole chili’ concept. Way too spicy for me to drink. I bet it would make a decent base for a mexican chili though... badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Punished by Skyview. Light yellow color with no head. Aroma of wheat and peppers. Fairly spicy, and definitely like sucking on a chili pepper, but not not nearly as nuclear as I had feared. Nonetheless, it tastes like crap. jimmack34 (567), Lancaster, Ohio, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Bottle. Way too much heat too taste anything but bitterness and some grains. Ended up pourning the beer on my brats while boiling them, and i got the pepper out of the bottle and boiled it in as well. Totally awesome to use for cooking, but not much for drinking. Why drink a beer if you cant enjoy it or get a buzz? dkachur (2373), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Aroma is straight jalapeno peppers. Taste is about three seconds of a boring grainy and thin pale lager followed with absolute heat. They had to put as much heat in here as possible to cover up the crappy beer. jjuf1853 (471), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Bottle containing a whole pepper pours a clear golden color with small head that quickly fades. Aroma is mostly chili pepper/hot sauce. Flavor is light, but really all you can taste is pepper. Not overly hot but a spicy aftertaste. Wasn’t expecting very much from this so at least I wasn’t overly disappointed. Very glad I only bought a single bottle. I’ve had other jalapeno beers in the past that were decent, but this one is pretty bad.
