Bottle, clear glass, with pinky-sized green chili pepper inside. Pours pale yellow golden with no head. Nasty vegetal pepper aroma, somewhere between hot sauce and the ass it eventually exits. Seriously, one of the worst noses you’re likely to encounter. Taste is very hot, and even from the first tiny sip I feel a good, lasting burn on my tongue and throat. Crappy corny malt base, as well, light-bodied and dirty. Dregs of a hot salsa that have been left out on the table in the basement for a month. Stale, nasty, undrinkable. I suppose some frat boys will get off on daring each other to chug, but otherwise this doesn’t even work as a gimmick. bhensonb (4365), Woodland, California, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Now brewed South of the border. Gold color with a few fizzy bubbles for head. Smells veg; spicy veg. Thin to medium body with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is veg and hot pepper. It’s really just hot spice rather than a chili flavor. Finish is really tingly peppery. I think it’s helping clear my sinus, but other than that ... On the other hand I’m drinking more than if it was plain Bud. My palate probably will need some time to recover. The pepper sticks around. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jun 16, 2008 pours yellow gold with a green floaty patch. Mmmmm. Pretty much just what you would expect. A pale lager with a bit of chili aroma and flavor. Finishes weak, not that painful like I was expecting. Kind of sad that this wasn’t as bad as I thought. Rciesla (3790), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

This must be a novalty product. No one actually gets drunk on this. If the name wasnt already used i would say call it smells like burning. Bad! blankboy (3250), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jun 6, 2008 My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry -- courtesy of Kevin. Ah, the infamous Cave Creek Chili Beer -- I have not heard good things. Pours a pale, pale clear yellow with no head. Not a good start. Aroma: Holy fuck this smells awful! Dumpster juice mix with jalapenos that have gone bad. Wow, that smells bad, I’m almost in shock! The flavour, well as Ralph Wiggum would say, "It tastes like burning". Jebus! So, so, awful. Congratulations Cave Creek Chili Beer, you’ve tied Motts Clamato Red Eye as the worst beers I’ve ever tried. TheCaptain (559), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jun 4, 2008 Horrible! We had a really good tasting going and this was the last in line. It was so foul that it made one guy hurl off the deck. Someone in the group decided to try the Pepper and the look on his face just made us gag and laugh-just really nasty shit. I think this is my lowest rated by far! Should be zero...Stay away-faar away! Lunkie (1020), Glen Iris, Australia
