Any flavour the beer may have is overpowered by the chili pepper. A fun beer for a barbeque, served *very* cold, but probably not worth drinking a second time. It’s more or less like drinking salsa, except not as chunky.

Bottle. Jalapeno aroma the only thing detectable. Pale yellow with no head. A slightly sweet malt flavor initially that is overwhelmed by the pepper flavor in a few milliseconds - like drinking the juice from a jar of jalapenos. Given extra points for being exactly what it says. I can’t imagine very many people who could finish an entire bottle, but probably great as a marinade or to make chili.

Bottle pours clear and golden with no head. the aroma is of chili pepper and sourness. The taste is hot like pepper and as is the aftertaste. Not sure who thought this was a good idea. When I want spicy I will get wings and wash them down with a beer that tastes like beer. Yuck.

Rated 9/8/06: Bottle suggests to serve this hot beer ice cold, well it was slightly frozen when I pulled it from the freezer but soon thawed. Aroma is spicy and peppery, Appearance is a slightly attractive bronze from the clear bottle. Hot on the palate with an intriguing hot pepper flavor. The aftertaste is such a shock that it really deters from a rather decent concept. I made sure that I had plenty o’ beer in me and lots of salty snacks in front of me but I still had to choke this one down. Seriously buy one for each party you attend and give it to some poor sucker and enjoy the show cause this one turns your stomach sideways.

Bottled (thanks?!? tbone_). Golden colour, absolutely no head whatsoever. Aroma is the one of jalapeño. So far so good, as I quite like jalapeños. Flavour is the same mixed with mud, and this is the point where the beer gets scaringly bad. Do not try this, unless you are a big fan of rotten jalapeños or something.

Golden color, no head, lots of carbonation. Aroma is dominated by green chili, can’t get much anything else out of it. As well as taste ... burning chili pepper. As much I like chili in my food, this is something useless. Coudn’t finish the glass.

Not even spicy in the least bit at first. There’s a lot of chili pepper flavor (green chiles) but really nothing hitting me as spicy at all. Definitely skunk in there. Oh my god this is foul. I’m now getting just the slightest suggestion of spice playing on my tongue, but the flavor of this beer is so rancid I can’t take more than a second sip. Drain pour is an understatement, I’d like to reseal this bottle and send it to the center of the earth. That is just an absolutely rancid pepper flavor. They get one point for at least trying something new, but that is awful.

Tasted 03/05/2006. Pale gold. No head. Herbal green chilli aroma. Super hot cayenne-style sting in the outh. A good way to open a BJCP study group. There’s a chilli in the bottle but where’s the beer? Great beer for a practical joke but not the best for drinking. Reduced from $7.50 to $1... and I, for one, am not surprised.
