I’d rather take my chances by drinking the water from a Mexican puddle then drink this again. LinusStick (1851), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Didn’t overpower, but didn’t really come through. Heavy carbonation and no real taste round out this novelty beer. Glad I tried it; wouldn’t buy it. jimcook (14), Cathedral City, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2007 This is one extraordinarily interesting beer. Although I love spicy food, I’m not normally into spicy beverages. The aroma of chili pepper is actually quite nice, without being overwhelming. The flavor, however, is quite in-your-face at first, with very pronounced pepper hotness. After the taste buds recover from the initial shock, this beer really isn’t too bad for what it is. Now, if you’re the type of person who sees a chili pepper floating in your beer but want it to taste like an imperial stout, you’re going to be disappointed. So, as chili beers go, I’d have to say this is one of the best. Optigon (562), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

The taste is rather skunky with a salty, pepper quality. Has a fair amount of heat. Not very good, I don’t understand why they keep making it. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 0.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Crazy Ed’s pours a healthy golden copper, but with no lacing and no head retention. There’s a freshly delivered jalapeno looking up at me from the glass, and I smell a cheap Taco Bell hot sauce aroma.
I finally sip it. There’s no beer. It’s just jalepeno pepper juice. From the beginning. Into the finish. Nothing else. At all. Ever. And the pepper itself? It tasted like wax. eeblah (79), Arizona, USA

The green chile in the bottle is nice looking but the beer tastes like fermented chile. I ate the chile it was actually spicy, the chile tasted better than the beer. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 7, 2007 Definitely...different. I didn’t expect it to be quite so hot! I managed 3 or 4 gulps but had to dump the rest. It was like eating a bunch of peppers. It was cool in a way, but not good in another way. Maria (6312), Thisted, Denmark

The flavour has very brief apple notes and then the chilli cuts like the sun, when the curtains is pulled from the window on a day with a migraine, and suddenly it seems that eating Indian food is like eating baby food. YUCK - I love chilli, but I hope it will stay out of my beer in the future!!!
