Aroma of pepper juice....lots of pepper juice. Flavor was HOT! I only had a few sips before I had to pour it out. I’m not a big fan of peppers at any rate and drinking pepper juice ain’t my idea of a good time. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA

And there is no better way to wash down some spicy food then a good beer. Unfortunately, when you put the two together, it doesn’t quite work. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

This beer and I are not off to a good start. Aroma, sweet god it’s peppery, cayanne and jalapeno. Flavor is just pure hot pepper heat, very spicy, and it did start to burn a bit as the last couple sips warmed up. Eww, and never again. I repeat cbkschubert if I ever trade with you again, do not send me this beer! ako (154), Turku, Finland
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 1, 2006 This is some seriously weird stuff. Pours pale yellow with no real head to speak of. Aroma, as well as flavor, is dominated by the chili. Quite refreshing when cold, a bit aggressive when the beer warms up. Leaves with a kinda hot finish. Not for everyone. bergface (57), madison, Alabama, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 28, 2006 Updated: Jan 4, 2007P.S. IM RATING THIS IN CONTEXT, AS AN AMERICAN LAGER- SO TRUST ME IM AWARE THAT THE STYLE AND THIS BEER IS BLAND. Though its kind of a novelty I like this beer. The pepper seems to make the beer taste fresher and seem more refreshing. The flavors of the pepper are VERY apparent, so if you wouldnt like that DONT DRINK IT. I enjoyed this beer, its different and there is a funny story behind it. That being said it should be served rather cold, and if you do drink out of the bottle (as is meant to in this case) the last few sips are a bit saturated with the capsacin (sp?) and the beer is usually a but warmer so its not as tasty as the first drinks. bridge (659), Sydney, Australia
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Nov 24, 2006 Poured with a violent fizz that was like when you put sugar in soft drink. It fizzed away, leaving no head at all and an effervescent body. Aroma is of chili of course, but not pleasant like my mums chili sauce. Instead it smells meaty like a dodgy chili con carne made with mince. The first mouthfull hit the mouth and burned from the lips all the way down the oesophagus. Not satisfying and warming like the acidic burn of a lambic, though, but sharp and raw like, well, sucking on a chili. Rather than a chili infused beer, this seems like a beer infused chili, with nothing of the beer qualities being evident. It took me what seemed like an eternity to take a second swig of this drink, and even then it was a bloody small one. So many beers I can finish without truly discovering all the different characteristics of the brew, but this one I can’t find any reason to keep drinking past a few sips as all has been revealed. Totally one dimensional, and a rather unpleasant dimension it is. noelcb (271), Toledo, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 13, 2006 FOLKS -- YOU CAN’T COMPARE THIS TO "REGULAR" BEER! IF YOU’RE ONE OF THE IDIOTS WHO PANNED THIS BECAUSE "IT DOESN’T TASTE LIKE BEER," SHUT UP! TAKE YOUR CAN OF BUD LIGHT & GO HOME. WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE LEARN TO COMPARE BEERS WITHIN A STYLE INSTEAD OF STYLE vs. STYLE? IF YOU DON’T LIKE A PARTICULAR STYLE, DON’T REVIEW IT.
Pours bright yellow-gold. Nice head but short retention and only moderate lace. Smells like jalepenos and grain. The chile dominates -- it’s like jalepeno juice with the texture and feel of beer. Rather than flavored beer, the flavors fuse and meld into a unique beverage and that makes it interesting.. If you’re dead-set on BEER, then skip this. If you’re adventurous and like different taste experience then, by all means, try this one. I found the alcohol buzz combined with the endorphine rush from the hot chile made me feel quite nice. goozen (1088), Leiden, Netherlands

The power of the pepper and i was defeated by this one, give another bottle to friend of mine a real pepper lover and complained the pepper was to big because smaller ones are much hotter. But de beer now golden, orange not a really good head with a chili. Don’t like it, but others does.
