| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 25, 2006 Very pale yellow color with no head. Spicy aroma with some grain in the background. Nice jalapeno flavor on a slightly grainy background. The jalapeno flavor and some very mild spicy burn linger in the aftertaste. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 25, 2006 Very pale yellow body, no head at all. What can I say other than a spicy chili pepper aroma, somewhat interesting though. Wow, really if you want a spicy beer, this is it. The pepper dominates over everything and frankly it’s almost as if you are eating one straight up. Ending is typical for Mexican spices... hot. Overall, not a great beer... but very unique and interesting. beerkoz (8), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jul 12, 2006 I rated this "chili" beer tops in every category because of the simple fact it IS a CHILI BEER. DO I expect a cold Canadien lager? NO. Do I expect a creamy Belgian Ale? NO. I expect a spicy chili-flavored beer and that is exactly what I got. I am a man who loves spicy foods - the hotter the better. Jalapeno’s?? I laugh at them. My wife and I use Habanero sauces like most folks use ketchup....so I found this delight once again since I moved to So. Florida last year at FLAME LIQUORS in West Palm Beach. To describe this wonderful war between sweet hops and spicy pepper does no justice to the beer. It leaves a subtle burn on your lips and tongue and throat. If you like HEAT of any kind with your food - TRY THIS....if you don’t, do us all a favor and do not try it only to belittle this great beer. ENJOY not only one but many! | 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Jul 2, 2006 Bottle: Wow! The comments and ratings just don’t do this one justice. It is THAT bad. Aroma is of pepper, nicely done, but no beer to be found ... then you drink the stuff and it may as well be the pickiling juice in jalepenos. Not good, plain and simple. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 10, 2006 I actually tried this beer twice. The first time I tried it was not so bad, but the second time was much worse. The longer it site in the bottle the hotter the pepper seems to get. Pours a pale straw with little head and little flavour, only hot chili pepper. jimvy (131), O’Fallon, Missouri, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jun 7, 2006 Bottle. Pours a pale straw with excellent clarity. Head is non-existant, though some carbonation is evident. Aroma is one-dimensional-hot peppers. Wow, flavor is pepper city! There is really only spicy, pepper flavor evident. The fact that there’s an underlying beer is only evident because it’s in a glass. There is a lasting hotness in this bad boy. Overall, this would be good to cook with, or maybe have with some cheap mexican food, but I can’t see myself finishing it.
