Aroma is completely of chili pepper, it’s so overpowering that there really is no other aroma coming through on this beer. Extremely spicy beer. Definately not my thing. Terrible that’s all there is to it. timtheenchanta (70), Clemson, South Carolina, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jun 4, 2006 The reputation of this one precedes it... only in a bad way. Saw this one down in Helen, GA as a single for around $2 and had to try it. I knew I wouldn’t want to pick up a sixer but I’ve been wanting to try one just to say I have.
This beer looks miserable. Even before removing the cap, the pepper in the glass suggests this is a straight novelty beer. I’m surprised I’ve never seen this beer in some parts of South Carolina as it screams "delightfully white trash." An aggressive pour yields no head. There isn’t even a razor thin white line on top. There are however lots of bubbles constantly rising to the top. This beer is a watered-down piss yellow. This might qualify more as yellow fizzy beer than any BMC I’ve had. There is of course no lacing at all.
The smell is mostly pepper. Pretty much all pepper, in fact. I left the pepper out of the glass for this very reason. I can already tell I’m not going to finish this beer. There is a fresh corn smell to it. Fresh being that it’s just been plucked off of the stalk. Not cooked at all. The combination of the pepper and corn leave a very sweet residue in the nose.
The beer starts out extremely bland. It then sweetens up before quickly becoming spicy. The spiciness quickly becomes a nuisance in this finish as it has overtaken anything that might resemble another taste. There is no complexity there. This may as well be a gas station beer with a pepper in it... I’d rather have it without the peppers.
I half expected to enjoy this beer. I really like peppers and spicy foods (I put homemade bbq sauce on EVERYTHING). I think I might be able to drink this beer with some Taco Bell or other cheap tacos. I could see that being a good pairing. I wouldn’t waste any other food by having it jointly with this beer. I’m glad I tried it but I don’t see myself picking it up again. This is officially my first drain cleaner... jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | May 28, 2006 12oz. bottle thanks? to Willblake for subjecting us to this. Clear golden/yellow color with a small white head. All I can make out in the aroma is chili pepper. The flavor was spicy chilis with a really bad pilsener base. This bottle was a couple of years old, but I don’t think the age is the reason the beer sucked. I actually always wanted to try this beer to see if it is as bad as everyone says. It is! mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 23, 2006 Bottle. Clear yellow in color. Very weird spicey aroma. Spicey tasting. My throat was burning and I was coughing a lot. Spicey beer. anaheim1983 (111), Anaheim, California, USA

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | May 12, 2006 WOW it is something...not too much like beer, nice color and nice bubbles and clearity. Way off base for something drinkable. Great marinade for a top round steak for carne asada Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 11, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Fuck this beer is H.O.T.! My nose is running, my lips are burning and my guts are boiling. Pours pilsener golden completely lacking head. Weird aroma with only a whiff of the chilli. The body is rather light with some sweetness, but everything is washed away when the extreme spiciness sets in. Any bitterness? I wouldn’t have a clue. A pleasure? Not really, but truly an experience. And I almost managed to finish the whole bottle. 100506 Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
