First had this at TAPNY, lost my notebook, and this one was the reason I got in the car and drove 1.5 hours to get to the brewpub. Well worth the trip. Pours a hazy golden amber with a medium tanned beige head. Big citrus hops, and a nice crispness with some caramel malt behind. Medium bodied with a good amount of nice clean malt and some hop flavors peaking through. Nice light grapefruit bitter finish. Tasty.

Reminiscent of the great IPA’s of the Pacific Northwest, this was one of my favorites from last weekend’d TAP festival.

Only available on draft, Cave Mountain doesn’t have commercial filtering equipment and crafts their beers entirely by hand. The Centennial IPA shines through with a big body and mouthfeel, cloudy appearance (probably from all the dry hopping), and great balance of hop flavor, bitterness, and aroma. This reminds me of the award winning Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale.
