Pleasant, relatively fresh grainy aroma with a roasty side that never becomes agressive, never reaches out towards acidity nor metallic aspects. Not all that perfumey, but spicy, peppery, herbal. A distinct basement/cement note is not unpleasant to the nose, but becomes a bit plastic reminiscent as it warms up. Moderate earthy, leafy hoppiness joins with the hard water’s mineral side to provoke a dry and refreshing finish. Perhaps a bit phenolic in the end. Light-bodied, but comfortable texture and fair drinkability. Good! charlotte (2036), Vanløse, Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Bottle Labeled Tournay Black Belgian Stout 7.6%, can you tell im not sure i’m posting in the right place. Pours a black body with a tan fluffy 3 finger head. Licorice, light spices, coffee bitterness and some roasted malt. Sweet body with a chocolate like feel, and moderate carbonation that kinda stings the tongue. Dry roasty finish with a touch of cane sugar. I would have liked this more if it wasn’t for the high carbonation. Chewy creamy with a sediment like bite to it. I liked it.
