| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 28, 2009 75cl bottle at home, iRate: pours a very dark chestnut brown, almost black. A tall tan head sits on top buy fades to a thin film. Aromas of roasted malts with alcohol. Some bakers chocolate and grassy hops float around in the darkness. A minerally quality starts to come up after time. Swirling brings up a damp earthy must. The CO2 creates a roast explosion on the tongue. Quite a bit of roast but never harsh... Almost too smooth. Some grassy notes are noticed just before a minerally charcoal quality develops. Long drying roast finish with touches of alcohol and grass. If it wasn’t for the oddly charcoal like component this would be a great beer. Bragesnak (2276), Aarhus, Denmark
