The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and chocolate with a slight underlying acidity from the roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, a sharp note of ground cocoa and coffee beans on the palate, as well as notes of dark bitter chocolate, and a slight acidity from the hard roasted malt coming along in the finish. The noel was good and so is this. A bit charcoal stouty. Black body iwth thick tan head. Really drinkable. Smooth in mouth. Good bitterness on finish. Excellent stout and there was me thinking that the Belgians couldn’t make stouts. Good stuff this.
