500 ml can, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Deep golden to amber colour, big head, slightly off-white. Very moderate aroma, slightly malty, nutty and dusty, hints of caramel. Flavour of a standard lager with some extra caramel malts added, the "dusty" malts dominate the flavour but the beer is not very sweet, fairly dry finish. Moderate hops in the aftertaste. Definitely drinkable, but CB could have come up with something more exciting for their 150th anniversary.

Nov 14, 2009 50 cL can. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and yeasty. Mild phenolic and slight spiced. Fruity and light spiced flavoured. Bitter and slight citric fruity.

Nov 14, 2009 Can, 4.5%. Mildly sweet and caramelly aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable off-white head. The flavour has a hint of malt and an OK spicy hoppiness, but somehow still manages to taste watery. Could be a lot worse, though.

Oct 4, 2009 Can 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear amber with a fine, dense off-white head leaving some laces. Lightly sweet caramel aroma. Medium body, dry malts, a little caramel but never sweet. Dry finish with very subdued hops. 041009

Aug 8, 2009 0.5L can from my local Ultra supermarket. Big and dense offwhite head with an yellowish tan. Good laceworks. Copper colored body, brilliant clarity. Moderate but inviting aroma of sweetish, toffee-ish malts. A faint whiff of acidulous fruits and grassy hops. Taste is rather sweet, yet with a certain freshness. Grain and caramel notes. Some barely noticable bittering hops in the backbone. Light to medium body. Light oily mouthfeel. Short, dryish ending. Overall a decent macrolager with good drinkability.

Jul 1, 2009 500 ml can. Copper colour. Crystal clear. Tall fine-laced white head that clings to the glass. Nutty aroma with quite a bit of malt and caramel. Nice creamy texture. Quite a bit of caramel flavours. Nice maltiness. Crisp hops, but not really that bitter. Dry finish. Powdery. Overall I find this beer nicely balanced. Surprisingly drinkable.
