Commercial Description:
: Brewed by Christianssands Bryggeri, Kristiansand, Norway, now part of the Hansa Borg group. 1,25 liter bottle. Deep, reddish dark brown colour, distinct rich malty flavour, medium bitterness. A little greater share of dark malts and caramel malts than in CB Pilsener, and carefully selected hops make this beer just as powerful as it should be.

Bottle at the RBESG08 Grand tasting. Alround rating: My last beer of the grand tasting in Plzen, and infact my last beer of the trip. Caramel, cheap brewing cereal, a pale lager with caramel added and small plastic notes.

Clear dark amber color, small off-white head. Diacetylic, wort-like aroma. Fizzy, cardboardish flavor. Plastic ... some caramel. Tastes like a cheap PET-bottle beer.

RBESG08 grand tasting. Dark amber-brown body. Strong caramel malt nose, slightly woody. Fine malty caramelly dunkel. Some bitter herbal hoppy notes near the end. Drinkable and a nice, solid dunkel, better than the score would indicate in my opinion.

plastic bottle(1250ml). -RBESG2008, Grand Tasting
Reddish brown coloured, medium to big sized pale beige head, light roasted and fruity nose. Sweet malty, hoppy and milk chocolate taste with caramelly and metallic notes. Light bitter finish with notes of nutts and almonds. Smooth and a bit too watery.
