Commercial Description:
Ecusson Normandie Brut is made from the first press (pur jus) of our best Norman apples that make it a perfect complement to a meal. We are proud of this well balanced, aromatic, and refreshing cider that comes from our land. Serve chilled.

Bottled 0.75 l (Alko). Pours quite clear, golden with a tough of orange and meager and rapidly dissolving head. Very dry aroma is mainly rotten apples, but in a nice manner. There’s also some wood and earthy soil. As it warms up there’s also some sweetness, more like apple jam. Medium dry flavor of nice sweet apples, some mould, maybe that blue cheese that oh6gdx also refers to and some woodiness and stable. Quite nicely cardonated and dry on the palate. Very drinkable This is actually quite yummy, yet not the most complex drink but definitely worth a shot.

Pouring - an apple pie aroma. In the glass, a decently dry pure apple aroma, with just a hint of cinnamon or other spice. Crisp palate, lively carbonation. Dry in the mouth, but also fairly fruity. Nice mellow woodiness. A certain "icey" nature to the retronasals. Yet again, a brilliantly made cider, but it really ought to be made at 8% not 5%, and this is just too easy.

Bottled, from Alko Vaasa. Hazy orange colour, no head. Aroma is blue cheese, sour apples, brown sugar and some slight notes of nutmeg. Flavour is dry apple, wood and blue cheese. Some slight earthyness as well. A very pleasant and welldone cider. Aftertaste is apples and some notes of sour wood.

Cloudy golden with tiny white short lasting head. Dry aroma with apple notes. Rather dry flavour with apple and woody notes. Not as dry as expected.

0.75 l corked bottle. Golden to copper color with quickly vanishing head. Pleasant acidic ripe apple aroma with notes of apricot, pineapple and wood. Slightly sweet and acidic ripe apple flavor with dryer woody finish. Highly carbonated yet fairly light bodied. Not highly complex but very balanced and pleasant.
