thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 21, 2008 This bottled mead from a rating party via JSquire poured an extremely small sized head of medium sized clear colored bubbles that werequickly diminishing and left behind a blood red colored body and no lacing. The thin aroma was of berries and honey. The flavor contained notes of berries and sweet honey. Not one that I would likely drink again. Strange mead.

It tastes of those same berries, sweet honey, and some light spice. It finishes dry and lightly alcoholic. jsquire (1863), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Mar 4, 2008 This pours a jewel-like ruby red color and is still. Sweet/tart berry nose of raspberry and cranberry. Since I don’t know what Marionberries smell or taste like, I can only assume that this is what they smell and taste like. There is a strong honey feel with very fruity currant, raspberry and cranberry flavors. Very dry finish. This is a very nice, full flavored berry mead. bdigi66 (443), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 2, 2008 Bottle: Courtesy of jsquire at the locals tasting. Beautiful ruby pour that had a very pleasant floral honey aroma with some berry and ginger notes. Initially thin on the palate but this seemed to get better with each sip. Sweet honey and berry flavor with a tame peppery finish. Good stuff.
Thanks Jeff for letting us try this one.
