KAggie97 (1919), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jun 8, 2008 Bottle Pours a nice amber with a frothy head. Aroma is nice and bready, the flavor follows suit but with nice spices infused. Would probably work nice on a cold night. Average mouthfeel.
krisp727 (3), Dunedin, Florida, USA does not count Jul 17, 2008 Peter Celis and the good folks at Celis Brewery have a star in this brew. Their other flavors and varieties are solid but this one is the star of the show. It has a nice nutty, toasted aroma and pretty good head. Nice flavor profile with hints of orange zest and nutmeg. It’s smooth from start to finish. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 03/05/1998

luiss (89), Elmsford, New York, USA Sep 1, 2006 Updated: Sep 10, 2006One of my favorite Celis beers. Smells of licorice, vanilla, and wood where overwhelming, especially at 9am. Hazy and cloudy with a tan head which faded away on the first pour but lasted very long on the second. Starts off a bit sweet and tends to finish with a tingly sour sensation. Had this beer out of a bottle i wish i knew what year it was(very yeasty). But i think it aged very well. xproudfoot (730), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 21, 2006 Not sure what the deal with Celis is, this beer was on tap at Eulogy in Philly (months ago, it got file dhere under the wrong beer), and their White has been on tap around here too. In any case, this ale had a beery, malt, almost even cheap lager like aroma, mixed with perhaps a better bock aroma. Flavor of grapes, fruit, berries. Slightly sour and dry. Dark brown, no head to speak of, and a minimal finish.
