Some yeast notes, as well as bitterness. Not overpowering. Sweet, with a dry finish. Kind of bitter. Interesting Amber Ale. nimbleprop (895), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 19, 2006 Corked like a champagne bottle, it poured from the bottle with a tremendous amount of white frothy head. The color is a deep rusty orange that is translucent. The initial fragrance is of citrus with a slight hint of yeast. Once you wait out the tremendous head, which laces and doesn’t dimish fully, the flavor is underwhelming, the initial flavor is slighty sweet and slighty bitter. The beer is very flat on the palate with an astringent feel. Way too much head, way to little flavor and not nearly enough of an aroma to make this beer a regular in my fridge. hokiebeerguy (21), USA

I mean it is adaquate for desert, but not too much else. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 15, 2006 Far too much sourness and carbonation. Sweet wet malt oozes from the beginning. The bottle is the best part of the deal. A little Stonehenge action. jrob21 (1268), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Too bad it pours so much head you have to wait a half hour before you can drink it. I was expecting a little more maltiness from an amber beer. This tastes more like a triple to me. Fruity and spicy. Pours a hazy light amber color. Big, BIG head detracts from the beer.
