Commercial Description:
This Irish style stout is deep, dark, smooth and creamy. The use of oatmeal in the mashtun adds “silkiness” to the texture and body of this ale. Excellent paired with oysters, prime rib and your weekend brunch.

Draught at the brewpub, nitro
Very dark brown color, with the usual creamy foam. Very light roasted malt aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, quite thin body, with a mild roasted malt flavor. Easy.

Had this at a cask fest at CC Brewpub, and the recipe must have been different from the norm, since the body was quite full. The Vanilla & coffee battled it out in the nose, but the coffee roundly won in the tasting, with practically no hint of vanilla. Clean finish.

Light coffee aroma. Looks nice in the glass. Standard coffee and chocolate flavours. A bit thin on the malt.

GCBF sample. Nice head. Good lacing. Dark reddish-brown. Malty nose. Creamy. Sharp finish is a bit sour.
