Thanks to JuiceIsLoose! Pours a thick black with a bold cherry and bourbon nose. Flavors are also bold with oak, bourbon, coffee and cherry.

Bottle, thanks to sk8viking for sharing. Black coloured with a small beige head. Roasted aroma of cherries, bourbon, caramel and marzipan. Roasted aroma of cherries, bourbon, caramel and marzipan. Roasted flavour of cherries and cherry stones with notes of vanilla and bourbon. Roasted and tart finish.

Bottle: The aroma consists of cherry, vanilla, bourbon, and faint chocolate. It pours a dark brown with a small tan head. The flavor starts with chocolate and light sour cherry. The finish has some mild vanilla and bourbon and the slightest hint of coffee. Unlike the regular cherry stout, this actually tastes like a stout. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel.

STOUTIE RATING #850 and like StFun below I drank this in a side by side comparison with the Bells BB Cherry Stout I just got from Sean (thanks dude), just when I thought I had an original idea someone beats me to the punch... ;-) ... oh I have had this before but did not rate it since i had a full bottle to contemplate... on to the rating: Deep brown with reddish highlights topped by a fading tan head and left oily legs upon the glassware. The aroma has notes of chocolate and vanilla covered cherries along with some oak and bourbon booze, herbal and grainy vapours too. The taste has a hint of a sweet malt stout but is still mostly cherries and bourbon. A hint of lacto sour milk and a unique Creme Brule undertone. The mouth feel is sticky but still seemed a tad too thin IMO. Not bad but the Bells version put this one to shame.

Had this next to Bells version, and while I liked the aroma of this better, the Bells version had the better flavor and was the slightly better beer overall. This one pours a similar "cherry coke" color; black with a red syrupy hue. The aroma is nice, cherries, cherry syrup, chocolate, wood, vanilla. Missing the smoke of the Bells version. Flavor is heavy on the cherry syrup and weaker on the other characteristics that showed in the aroma. Sticky mouthfeel as well. Just not quite as good as Bells, but a good beer, and I continue to enjoy Central Waters’ offerings.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Black in color with a cream colored head. Aroma is of roasted malts, cherries and wood. Taste is of chocolate, cherries, vanilla and bourbon.

Courtesy Secret Santa. Pours a dark brown color with some reddish tint at the edges of the glass. A small, foamy tan head settles to a thin film and leaves a touch of lacing behind. The aroma shows notes of chocolate covered cherries, bourbon, and a touch of vanilla. The flavor follows the same way with the sweet chocolate and tart cherries blending together nicely with the bourbon and vanilla. The oaky wood gives it a nice tart feel and flavor. Medium bodied with subtle carbonation with a long chocolate covered cherry finish. This is maybe a touch thin for an imperial stout, but the flavor was good with the cherries and the bourbon wasn’t too overpowering. I enjoyed this one, nice brew.

A beautiful ruby brown color with an aroma filled with cherries combined with a hint of bourbon.
