Bottle in trade from d0b. Thanks Dave!
Pours a dark reddish black with a short lived beige head. Smell is very mild, and very mild bourbon and cherry, and not much else. Taste is tart cherry and oak mostly, with very dry oakiness and not much bourbon or roasty malt. Decent but I wanted more Imperial Stout to go with the cherry and oak.

Bottle. First rating in a number of months and the 100th rating for this brew. Knowing this is a cherry flavored beer, I can clearly make out the cherry in the nose. Would make a nice winter seasonal. Fully opaque body. Not much head or lace. Cherry beer lovers will like this one. A lot of strength, a discernable cherry tartness and a semi-sweet chocolatety aspect. Well done. Warming. A very good beer that requires some palate adjustment up front.

This smells heavenly: bourbon, cream soda, sweet cherries, chocolate, all well-harmonised. Pours darkest brown, thin beige head, minimal lace. After the nose, the flavor was somewhat disappointing; the bourbon barrel took over the beer. Bourbon, vanilla, and butterscotch are the dominant flavors from start to finish. The cherries are there mostly just as some added sweetness; a little chocolate creeps through on the finish. Thick bodied, lightly carbonated.

Bottle, thanks hopdog! Pours cloudy blackish brown with garnet highlights and a thick, falling tan head. The aroma seems sweet and sour at the same time, dominated by the bourbon, but with bits of vanilla, oak, chocolate and cherry swirling around. Medium body and minimal carbonation. The taste follows the nose, bourbon, vanilla, oak, chocolate and cherry. The oak finishes strong, and a bit of coffee shows up. An interesting beer. Not very stout-like, but good none the less.

Rating 1100! Thanks to Inkubus27 for the bottle. Dark pour with a thin khaki head and drippy lace. Roasted malts, oak, and bourbon on the nose. Chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, and roast upfront. Lingering cherry finish

Pours black with ruby hints and a thin dense head that shows very good retention and lacing. The first aroma is definitely the cherries, both sweet and sour with malt in the background along with hints of coffee and chocolate. Taste is fairly tart cherries with a faint sweet chocolate malt backbone with other fruits in there as well, mainly raisins. The bourbon also shows up in the taste and it’s an interesting combo with the heavy cherry tartness. The mouthfeel is very creamy and smooth. This is an interesting beer and has big tart cherry and bourbon flavors overpowering the underlying stout. For me, there’s a little too many things vying for attention in this one, but I really enjoyed trying it.

12 oz bottle thanks to Axilla for sharing. Careful when opening, this one gushed and it seems to be a common problem. Poured black in color with a small beige head. Aroma of tons of bourbon, vanilla, cherries and roasted malts. Tastes of very sweet cherries, light roasted chocolate malts, bourbon, vanilla, and some oak. Mouth feel is a little cloying sweet but quite thin.
