12oz. bottle, with thanks to both bmartin08 and nflmvp for each including one of these as a great bonus in our trades - appreciate it guys! A bit of a gusher, but pours a dark brown with a lively tan head that dissipates to a thin covering, spotty lacing. Aroma is oak, cherry, dark chocolate and only the slightest of bourbon peeking through occasionally. Flavor is more cherry forward, with some background bourbon and oak. The sweetness from the cherry actually becomes a bit distracting and doesn’t seem to gel well with the other components. Not bad, but a bit disjointed and didn’t really work for me. Thanks again for the chance to try to both Steve and Brian!

So absolutely unique. Big nose, overpowered by bourbon and sweet dark fruits. A beer for every once in a while, or when you want to piss off a non-beer elitist friend.

Bottle courtesy of grimreeser. Aroma of oak, chocolate, and cherry. Medium bodied but with more of a porter like texture. Flavor of roasted malt, vanilla, and tart cherries. Just a very slight hint of bourbon, joined by more cherries on the finish.

12 oz. bottle via trade KingpinIPA - Pours a dark brown color with a 1/2 finger thick light tan head that faded pretty quick. Light lacing. The barrel aging dominates the aroma. Mostly oak/bourbon and some dark esters. Can’t really detect any cherry in the aroma. Flavor is also mostly oak/bourbon with some roasted malt and dark esters. Has a roasted malt and alcohol aftertaste. Medium body. A good IS, but I doubt very few could detect any cherry in this beer if they didn’t know what they were drinking. Thanks Mike.

"Very nice, how much?" Well, actually since you asked, it was $5 for this little 12 ozer but well worth every penny. Colour is a dark brown, with a red hue, it almost takes on a purpleish colour- not trying to scare you away, beautiful body. Thin tan head, light brownish colour with an aroma which is of chocolate covered cherries soaked in bourbon. Oak, dark dark chocolate and earth. Mouthfeel is creamy, incredibly satisfying and coffee-like. Wicked tastey, delightful on my palate. Flavors again are of over ripe cherries, maybe black cherry, chocolate, burnt coffee and slight carmel. Cherries are evident, but not overpowering, yet so real.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin beige head. Some off white floaties in there. Aroma of tobacco, smoke, some cherry, bourbon and oak. Wow, taste is a total 180 from the aroma. Roasted malt, bourbon and smoke up front, good sour/tart bite from the cherries in the middle, bourbon finish with some lingering cherry. Interesting to say the least.
