Bottle. Pours a black body with some dark brown hues with very little head. Aroma is bourbon all the way. A viscous mouthfeel with an almost burning bourbon flavor. Huge mouth warming and some cherry chocolate and vanilla and woodiness mixed into the bunch. Very easy to drink. Wish i knew the abv on this one.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle; muddy, oaky brown appearance. Maraschino cherry, brownie, black cherry aroma; heavy, dirty bourbon presence of vanilla and toasted oak; fat and buttery. Flavor is thick, hot and syrupy; floral honey and fresh cherries seem to complement each other quite nicely and brightly, but alcohol is draining. Juicy, ashy, meaty roasts fill in the mid palate substantially, and a big tangy burst of acetone-tilting bourbon sweetness again rubs it dry. Cherry starts to seem tannic and acerbic. Full, messy palate; finishes on the huge, startling impact of cheap port. Huge, and lacking real character. Thanks Tyler!

(bottle thanks Tytoanderso!) Pours dark brown with a scant tan head. Upon first smell, I got a whiff of urinal cake, which smelled quite awful. Luckily, this scent fades quickly and a better, more earthy, Belgian-redesque aroma takes over. There’s also some light vanilla and chocolate as well. The flavor has some light cherry, roasted malt which is a bit astringent, with chocolate, and a little wood on the finish along with some alcohol. Medium mouthfeel.

Black body with a khaki colored head. The aroma was strogn cherries along with oak. What a surprise. The taste was cherry cola with some wood. Pretty nice.

Bottle at Noogfest Four-O. Pours cloudy dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is coffee, bourbon, cherry, and mild caramel. The flavor is slight cherry, milk chocolate, mild acidity, and distant coffee. A little bit of alcohol peeks through in the aftertaste. Enjoyable.

Tasted at Noogfest 4.0 (2008). This Imperial Stout pours a medium black color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized tan foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, roasty malts and cherries, touch of bourbon. A medium bodied stout. The malts are chocolate and roasty malts. The kops are earthy. The cherry flavor is subtle, neither sweet nor tart. The bourbon flavors are subtle as well. It’s a bourbon barrel cheery stout that more about the stout than the barrel or the fruit. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

12oz bottle Sampled at Noog4. Thanks to Heemer for bring this bottle. Dark walnut brown pour with a wispy head. Boozy aroma with plenty of Bourbon Barrel and wood. There is also a touch of malt and buttery bourbon. The flavor is powerful. Initially sweet but moves quickly to bourbon and tons of wood. It is a bit overly alcoholic. Slick mouth feel and full body. Not bad, but where are the cherries?
