"Very nice, how much?" Well, actually since you asked, it was $5 for this little 12 ozer but well worth every penny. Colour is a dark brown, with a red hue, it almost takes on a purpleish colour- not trying to scare you away, beautiful body. Thin tan head, light brownish colour with an aroma which is of chocolate covered cherries soaked in bourbon. Oak, dark dark chocolate and earth. Mouthfeel is creamy, incredibly satisfying and coffee-like. Wicked tastey, delightful on my palate. Flavors again are of over ripe cherries, maybe black cherry, chocolate, burnt coffee and slight carmel. Cherries are evident, but not overpowering, yet so real.

Translucent cherry brown in color wit a dusty tan head and a doily wrung around the edges. Subtle nose rings out with unsweetened bakers chocolate, black cherries coated in chocolate wax, anise, darkening caramel sauce and a light bourbon and rye sentiment. Flavor means business after the over carbonation subsides. Sweet, woodsy flavor and feel with the bourbon livening the edges with a caramel liquor creation. Saucy chocolate drizzles over bourbon raspberry tortes with red currant and cherry plum currents woven throughout. Fuller bodied force with a red fruit astringency hugging the corners of the tongue after each sip. Just enough lactic acid to give a delectable, tart edge. Bourbon and rye give the sweet surprise an extra special edge, creating palate stickiness and a quest for more of the liquid as the final, dry chocolate cherry stout says its final goodbye.

courtesy of BA trade. pours black with a dark mocha head aroma of light tart cherries, lots of bourbon goodness, malts and hints of chocolate. taste, wood/bourbon barrel elements are quite present, had hints of sweet vanilla mix with hints of cherry tartness that despite the 80lbs added to the barrel doesn’t make this beer overly tart. As the beer warmed up, it gained in intensity, chocolate became more noticeable. On the palate, bourbon comes first followed by the cherries/chocolate.

Bottle at Noogfest Four-O. Pours cloudy dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is coffee, bourbon, cherry, and mild caramel. The flavor is slight cherry, milk chocolate, mild acidity, and distant coffee. A little bit of alcohol peeks through in the aftertaste. Enjoyable.

Rating 1100! Thanks to Inkubus27 for the bottle. Dark pour with a thin khaki head and drippy lace. Roasted malts, oak, and bourbon on the nose. Chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, and roast upfront. Lingering cherry finish
